
Ignite Orientation Program
on September 25-29, 2025
The three day Ignite Orientation Program, was designed to warmly welcome new MBA entrants and provide a holistic, energetic start to their journey. The program emphasized the institutional values of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity, with a clear objective to foster essential life skills like teamwork, trust, leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
- Orientation, Mentorship, and Foundation
The program began with an inaugural session & keynote address, where speakers motivated students and emphasized the importance of creativity, teamwork, and an open outlook during the MBA journey.
Mentoring sessions laid the foundation for meaningful mentor-mentee relationships by providing advice on academic success and personal growth.
Alumni Connect offered valuable networking, mentorship, and real-world business insights through two impactful alumni talks and the introduction of buddy mentors.
Initial activities like self-introduction rounds and a quick communication game helped participants break the ice, develop self-confidence, and promote coordination and active listening. The session “Opportunity in KCT BS” provided clarity on the wide range of academic and extracurricular offerings, empowering students to grow holistically.
- Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen
Sessions focused on enhancing strategic and entrepreneurial skills.
The Brand Storming activity enhanced problem-solving, marketing, and presentation skills by teams to ideate on product features, strategies, and pricing for a new product.

The Ecopreneur Pitch sessions, themed around ‘Retro to Metro’, required creative delivery around themes like sustainability and innovation. This activity successfully developed entrepreneurial, presentation, and evaluative skills through the building phase and final presentations.
The Industry Dilemma simulation helped students understand how group and individual choices interplay, emphasizing the significance of collective growth and mutual acceptance while strategizing. Finally, an energetic Business Auction required strategic thinking and value assessment, honing negotiation, teamwork, and budgeting skills.
- Teamwork and Trust Challenges
Outdoor and team activities are integral to building trust and collaborative muscle.
- A reflective session, followed by a fun team-building activity, was conducted brigade-wise to foster communication and teamwork while reinforcing strategic thinking through SWOT analysis.
- A relay activity that restricted the use of hands reinforced the importance of patience, focus, and collaboration.
- A circle-based activity where participants created a “knot” highlighted the importance of communication, strategy, and teamwork to untangle the group, building patience and problem-solving ability.
- A partner-based obstacle course where one person was blind folded emphasized the necessity of trust, clear communication, and focus under pressure, which strengthened bonding and listening skills.
- General Sports Activities fostered team bonding, trust-building, and physical engagement after a day of intense mental activities, promoting a spirit of healthy competition.

The orientation successfully blended learning, creativity, and fun, creating a memorable experience and equipping participants for their journey ahead.
