Senior Handloom Weaver Thiru. P. Sakthivel from Periamolapalayam, Bhavani Taluk, proudly showcased GI Bhavani Jamakkalam creations at London Fashion Week on September 21, 2025, in collaboration with designer Vino Supraja. Supported by consultancies from Dr. B. Poongodi (KCT Business School) and Dr. G. Ramakrishnan (Fashion Technology), the journey included new stripe designs, international-standard yarn sourcing, and Jamakkalam lifestyle bags launched in Dubai and Singapore. The grand finale was Thiru. Sakthivel’s bow on the London ramp—an inspiring milestone that celebrated the fusion of traditional Indian craftsmanship and modern fashion, taking Bhavani’s heritage to the global stage.
