Mr. Venkatesh Prasanna B R is an accomplished academic and business analytics professional with expertise spanning teaching, research, and training. With nearly three years of experience as an Assistant Professor and five years of experience as a Freelance Trainer, he has been actively engaged in mentoring postgraduate and undergraduate students, delivering courses on Business Analytics, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Statistics. He currently serves at KCT Business School, Kumaraguru College of Technology as Assistant Professor and Business Analytics Domain Coordinator.

Previously, he served as a faculty member in Business Analytics at Presidency Business School, Bengaluru, and the Cambridge Institute of Technology, where he also coordinated NAAC initiatives and edited the peer-reviewed Presidency Journal of Management Thought and Research. In addition to teaching advanced analytics courses, he introduced a new hands-on program titled “Business Analytics using R.” His dedication to academic excellence is evident in his publications in Scopus- and Web of Science–indexed journals, the securing of a design patent, and his presentations at national and international conferences, several of which earned Best Paper Awards.

Beyond academia, Venkatesh has established himself as a resourceful trainer, conducting over 20 workshops and training more than 1,000 students on tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Python. His certifications from reputed institutions like IIM Bangalore, NITTE, and the Corporate Finance Institute underscore his dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

With strong command over analytics tools including Python, R, SPSS, Tableau, and Power BI, he blends technical proficiency with analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. His research contributions cover diverse domains such as HR analytics, supply chain optimization, and predictive modelling in retail.

Driven by a passion for data-driven decision-making and innovation, he aspires to leverage his academic and research expertise in the corporate sector, aiming to create meaningful business impact through advanced analytics and machine learning applications.

As a Domain Coordinator of Business Analytics, I’m responsible for

  • Developing curriculum for the proposed new courses in Analytics by the Business school and re-designing of curriculum for the existing courses.
  • Conducting the Industry Relevant Workshops, Guest Lectures and Continuous Assessments for MBA Program.
