
Union Budget 2026 Panel Discussion

As part of its flagship knowledge initiatives, KCT Business School hosted the panel discussion “Union Budget 2026 Decoded – Implications for Industry and Economic Growth” on February 3, 2026. The annual event provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the Union Budget’s sectoral implications and its broader economic impact, drawing active participation from across Kumaraguru Institutions.
The program commenced with a traditional invocation, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Sangeetha S, Professor and Head, KCT Business School, who also introduced the panel experts. A keynote address by Dr. Raghupathy S, Director, Strategic Planning and Review, KCT, set the stage for decoding the Budget from policy, industry, and economic perspectives.

- Mr. Thirumala Rao, Assistant General Manager, NABARD, shared insights on agricultural reforms, rural credit expansion, and financial inclusion initiatives.
- Mr. Karthikeyan, President, CODISSIA, deliberated on MSME policies, industrial growth, and ease-of-doing-business reforms.
- Mr. Ramalingam Shantha Kumar, CEO, eClouds Energy LLP, discussed renewable energy investments and India’s transition toward green power.
- Ms. Sindhu Bharathi M, Manager, Advisory Services, PwC India, analysed trade dynamics, investment flows, and fiscal strategies.
- CA Prashanth Surya, Partner, Paul & Aravind LLP, offered clarity on direct and indirect tax proposals, GST developments, and compliance implications.
- The session was moderated by CA Ramprasad Velusamy, Partner, Venketraman & Prasad Co., who ensured engaging interaction between panellists and the audience.
