Project Management in the Era of AI and Agility
The MBA- Project Management program, celebrated International Project Management Day 2025 under the theme “Project Management in the Era of AI and Agility.” The event brought together distinguished speakers, alumni, and industry professionals to discuss how artificial intelligence and agile practices are reshaping modern project management.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Raghupathy S, Director – Strategic Planning and Review, KCT, who spoke on “The Evolving Role of Project Managers in the Agile and AI Era.” He emphasized adaptability, analytical thinking, and emotional intelligence as essential skills for managing technology-driven projects, inspiring students to embrace innovation and lead with agility.
Alumni Ms. Pavithra, Ms. Thaarani, and Ms. Catherine Bhagyashree, shared insights from their professional journeys. Their talks highlighted the growing relevance of project management skills across industries and the increasing role of AI in decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and operational efficiency.

The panel discussion was the key highlight, with panellists Dr. B. Shyam Sundar (Vice President – Outreach, PMI Chennai), Mr. J. Senthilvel (Lead Facilitator, MySkills Academy), and Mr. Maheshwaran Nagarajan (Project Manager, TechJays). They explored emerging trends such as digital transformation, agile leadership, and ethical AI, offering students practical perspectives from industry leaders. The event successfully bridged academic learning and industry insights, empowering future project managers to integrate technology, agility, and human-centric leadership in their careers.
