KCT-BS Marathon 2026
The third edition of KCT-BS Marathon 2026 – ‘Run for Native Tribes’ was successfully conducted on January 04, 2026, at Kumaraguru Campus as part of the Social Immersion Project (SIP). This flagship initiative continues to strengthen the institution’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
With over 450 participants, the marathon brought together students, faculty, staff, children from Kallarpudur, members of the public across age categories (under 35, under 55, and above 55), and police personnels. The event went beyond athletic achievement, serving as a collective effort to raise awareness and support for tribal communities. Recognition was accorded to the top six finishers in each category, with medals distributed.
This year’s edition marked a significant milestone in the SIP journey, generating support for 15 developmental projects aligned with the PRME UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. The marathon reaffirmed its mission of driving impactful social change while ensuring continued engagement with the Kallarpudur tribal community. Organized by Dr. Shalini Prieya A D (Coordinator) and Dr. Poongodi B of KCT Business School, along with student coordinators Revathi C , Poornima D , and Roshan Nithish T , the marathon highlighted the values of fitness, teamwork, and social responsibility.
