Dr B Poongodi, was invited as the guest speaker at the Inaugural Function of a training Program on “Weaving Heritage into Student Skills” for the students of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for women, held on June 4, 2025 at Silk Village Handloom Training Research Institute Pvt. Ltd., Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore. This event was featured in TheCovaiNews. To the press she shared the role of women family members in the handloom weaving occupation from the rural parts of Tamilnadu. She emphasized the significant contribution of GoI, National Skill Development Corporation, Textile Sector Skill Council in training the handloom weavers, dyers, designers through various schemes
Dr B Poongodi, was invited to deliver a session on “Marketing Research” to the RKVY AOP & SOP Cohort – VII trainees on July 17, 2025. The trainees are offered the session series of Capacity Building Programme organized by MR.A.V.Gnansambandam, MD and CEO of Agribusiness Incubation Society, Tamilnadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.

In an effort to enhance the communication capacities of budding agriculture professionals, the Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture (KIA) recently organized a successful seven days (June 23–July 01, 2025), ‘Write-shop on Farm Journalistic Skills’ for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students. The program was conducted by Dr. Sarath Sennimalai, and was designed around the dynamic Input–Process–Output (IPO) model of experiential learning.
