Mr. T. Pirasad
Assistant Professor
Mr. T. Pirasad is an Assistant Professor of Finance at KCT Business School. He holds an MBA in Finance and Human Resources from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, and a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai. He is also a doctoral student specializing in FinTech at the Department of Management Studies, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, under the HTRA fellowship offered by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. He has also qualified the UGC–NET (2023) and TNSET (2024) for Assistant Professor in Management.
His research interests lie in FinTech, Digital Currencies (CBDCs), Financial Inclusion, Behavioural Finance, and Financial Risk Management. He has published in reputed international journals indexed in ABDC and Scopus, including Digital Policy, Regulation and Governance and Economic and Political Studies, and is also an active peer reviewer for international journals.
He brings a unique blend of industry, academic, and research experience to the classroom. Prior to academia, he has over four years of work experience at top global investment banks. He worked as a Senior Analyst in the Market Risk Division at the Bank of New York Mellon, where he was involved in risk analytics and data-driven decision support for hedge fund clients. He was also a summer intern in the Financial Operations division at Goldman Sachs, Bengaluru.
As an educator, he has taught core and elective courses such as Financial Management, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Financial Derivatives, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, and Business Research Methods to MBA and B.Tech students. His teaching approach integrates financial theory, real-world applications, data analytics, and contemporary financial innovations, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning and critical thinking.
At KCT Business School, he bridges finance theory, technology, and practice to prepare students for the evolving digital financial ecosystem. He is actively involved in mentoring students to pursue careers in investment banking, financial analytics, and related domains. Alongside teaching, he is engaged in publishing research papers in reputed journals and actively takes up funded research and consultancy projects aligned with contemporary financial and policy challenges.
