SEG Rural Livelihood and Entrepreneurship Development, Unnat Bharath Abhiyan Project – No. R P 03525G funded Kumaraguru College of Technology for “Pilot launch of Low-weight modified Jacquard, Improving the livelihood of handloom weavers”. The pilot launch project distributed 12 low weight modified Jacquard for handloom to the beneficiary village Samathur on 31st January 2025. Dr.G.Ramakrishnan, Professor – Fashion Technology , Principal Investigator, Dr.B.Poongodi, Professor, KT Business School & Dr.C.Velmurugan, Professor & Head , Co-Principal Investigators of the project organized the distribution ceremony in the august presence of the village Panchayat authorities and the manager of the Samathur Handloom Weaver Cooperative Society at The Centre for Weavers, Chinna Aranmanai, Samathur, Anamalais Taluk, Coimbatore District.
