EBSCO by Mr. Nanda Lal TS – Senior Training Manager,EBSCO Information Services on March 19, 2025.

A workshop on using EBSCO was conducted on March 19, 2025, for IMBA students (Batch 2024-26). The session was led by Mr. Nanda Lal T.S., Senior Training Manager – South India, EBSCO Information Services, New Delhi. Mr. Nanda Lal provided a detailed demonstration on accessing research articles in EBSCO, highlighting key features such as filters, access options, sort order, and article downloads. He also guided students on retrieving case studies, industry reports, bulletins, and magazines. Additionally, he introduced the platform’s audio content feature and explained how users can access information in their vernacular language for enhanced usability.To facilitate learning, a step-by-step user guide for EBSCO was shared with the students. The session was attended by 185 first-year MBA (2024-26 batch) students and 30 first-year MBA-PM (2024-26 batch) students in an online mode. The program was coordinated by Dr. Mohanamani P., Associate Professor, KCT BS; Dr. Sarath S., Assistant Professor, KCT BS; Ms. Pavithra P., Assistant Professor -ECE & Library In-Charge; and Mr. Nandha Kumar S., Library Assistant. Valuation of Firms by Dr. Manika Mahesh, Co-Founder of Sivaraman Capital, Coimbatore on March 18 & 25, 2025.

A hands-on workshop on “Valuation of Firms” was conducted for 70 II MBA (Batch 2023-25) finance students, enrolled in the Financial Modeling course on March 18 and March 25, 2025, totaling six hours of training. Dr. Manika Mahesh, Co-Founder of Sivaraman Capital, Coimbatore, served as the resource person. The workshop covered various firm valuation methods, including the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method, Comparable method, and Cost method, with real-time examples using data from NSE and Screener for different financial metrics.
Ms. Madhumitha D.B (23MBA090) and Ms. Nivedha J (23MBA106) were the student coordinators, while Dr. Mohanamani P., Associate Professor, served as the faculty coordinator.
