AI-Driven Agribusiness

The Department of Agribusiness Management (ABM) organized the AI-Driven Agribusiness Conclave on March 17 & 18, 2026, featuring experts from STATOBERRY LLP – Mr. Jithin Chandran, Dr. Ranganath, Dr. Adarsh, and Syngenta India Ltd – Dr. Nagendra Sharma and Dr. C. Kameswaran.

The conclave provided 23 students of ABM batch 2025-27 with practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics, and digital technologies in agribusiness. Sessions covered the introduction to the RAISINS platform, fundamentals of statistics and regression analysis, and advanced analytical techniques such as PCA and Cluster Analysis.

Experts from Syngenta highlighted the role of AI, Machine Learning, IoT, drones, and digital platforms like Cropwise and P3 in enabling smart and sustainable agriculture through crop monitoring, irrigation management, pest detection, and yield forecasting.

The conclave also emphasized the importance of research and development in agribusiness innovation, showcasing how scientific advancements and digital solutions contribute to improved productivity and sustainable farming practices.
