KCT Business School, organized a Two-Day Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Finance on March 17 & 18 2026. The workshop was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice by providing hands-on exposure to AI-driven tools, algorithmic trading, financial analytics, and fintech innovations to 180 MBA Finance students (Batch 2025-27).Three accomplished industry practitioners delivered sessions across two days, covering a wide spectrum of topics from algorithmic trading and AI-based financial decision-making to financial inclusion and digital payment ecosystems.
The session on Algorithmic Trading – Automating Smart Investment Strategies in the Stock Market was conducted, focusing on data-driven and automated investment approaches. The session was delivered by Mr. C. Senthil Kumar, Advanced Financial Goal Planner® (AFGP), Managing Partner at Ekarup Consulting, Coimbatore. Mr. Senthil Kumar, a seasoned capital market professional with over a decade of experience in equity derivatives, commodity markets, forex trading, and wealth management, delivered a comprehensive session on algorithmic trading. With expertise across NSE, BSE, MCX, CME, and NYMEX, he provided students with a structured, practical deep-dive into the world of algorithmic trading and its growing significance in modern investment management. The session included a live demonstration of strategy back testing using the Quantman Trade platform, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world market applications.

The session on AI-Driven Decision Making for Finance was conducted, emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing financial decision-making. The session was delivered by CA Subachandran Murugesan, Managing Partner at Finsight Analytics LLP. CA Subachandran Murugesan, a Chartered Accountant with additional qualifications in Chartered Secretary (CS) and Diploma in Information Systems Audit (DISA), brought over 12 years of post-qualification experience in Financial Planning and Data Analytics (FP&A) to the classroom. His session was highly practical and hands-on, guiding students through the application of generative AI and prompt engineering in real finance scenarios. Students built actual cash flow models and payroll automation workflows using Google Sheets and App Script.
The session on AI in Financial Inclusion was conducted, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in expanding access to financial services. The session was delivered by Ms. Annikkit Thomas, AVP – Products at Aceware Fintech Services Pvt. Ltd. (Radiant Acemoney), Kochi. Ms. Annikkit Thomas brought a product-focused FinTech perspective to the session. Having progressed through multiple product and operations roles within Aceware Fintech Services, she offered students an immersive look at how AI is transforming financial inclusion across India. Her insights on Micro ATM (MATM) systems, AI-enabled KYC automation, and digital payment ecosystems were both relevant and thought-provoking.The session shed light on how cutting-edge AI tools are being deployed to bring banking services to underserved populations, and how FinTech infrastructure is evolving to support banks and NBFCs in scaling their reach effectively.
